IN-PERSON WRITING WORKSHOPS ON THE SUFFOLK COAST THIS AUTUMN

COME AND WRITE WITH ME IN THE PLACE THAT INSPIRES SO MUCH OF MY WRITING!

For just over a year now I have been working with a group of artists and writers along the Suffolk coast in a project called Edge Land. Our focus has been the dramatic changes, both man-made and natural, that have altered familiar landscapes, and will continue to do so for the next decades. Edge Land covers the Suffolk coast from Lowestoft to Felixstowe and inland to the A12 trunk road.

Work from the first year of the project has just gone on public display at The Long Shop Museum in Leiston, Suffolk IP16 4ES, and in celebration we are running a series of writing workshops (details and booking below – only £6 per person per session).

Together with two other highly experienced writers and workshop leaders, Vicky Proctor and Julie Garton, I will be guiding you through four themes (two tutors per workshop). The workshops are suitable for beginners and experienced writers and will include opportunities for discussion and feedback from your tutors. All genres are welcome – fiction, non-fiction, memoir, poetry and scriptwriting (the latter with tutor Vicky Proctor).
